Anil Chawla, a Chartered Accountant, is currently heading D.E. Shaw India Advisory Services Ltd as Chief Executive Officer. He has a vast experience of serving in banking, investment & financial services.

Prior to this Mr. Chawla held the position of Managing Director at GE India prior to which he was the CEO of GE Commercial Finance India and South East Asia. Prior to GE, he was the Head of Capital Markets Group at American Express Bank and contributed at various levels at IL&FS and Citibank.

Mr. Chawla is a Commerce Graduate from Punjab University, a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Masters in Accounting from the Institute of Management Accountants, London, UK
